Deal Types List
Below are the deal types that are included in FMTC's datafeed. In the event that a deal type is changed, the change will be appear in your incremental feed and in a complete download.

Coupon | coupon | A deal tagged as a "coupon" requires a special action, typically a coupon code, in which case the CouponCode field is populated. If the CouponCode field is empty, the coupon is built into the link and clicking the link is the special action the user must take to activate that deal. |
Free Shipping | freeshipping | This deal involves any sort of free shipping discount. It can be assigned to a product sale, a category sale, or used alone for storewide promotions. A minimum purchase may or may not be required. A coupon may or may not be required. |
Category Coupon | category-coupon | The discount applies to an entire category of merchandise and the link points to a category landing page. The merchant-defined category system may differ from the FMTC category system. |
Category Sale | category-sale | A category sale is a sale involving a specific category of merchandise. A coupon is not required to access a category sale. |
Product Coupon | product-coupon | Product coupons are valid only on specific products. Links provided for product coupons land on the product page and product images are provided when possible. |
Product Sale | product-sale | A product sale is a specific product that is marked down. A discount amount and/or "Was" and "Now" pricing is provided in the label. Product images are provided when possible. No coupon is required for a product sale. |
Rebates | rebates | This deal type involves a rebate. It can be online or in-store. |
Clearance | clearance | Clearance type offers typically land on the general clearance section of a merchant's site. Occasionally, they will be category or product specific. |
Sale | sale | Sale type offers can be links to a merchant's general sale section, links to categories of items on sale, and/or links to products on sale. |
Offer | offer | Offer is a catch-all category for promos that don't fit into another category. Some examples are free trials, sweepstakes, and product guarantees. |
Shipping Offer | shipping-offer | Shipping offers include flat-rate shipping promos, reduced shipping offers, and other discounts involving shipping costs that are not free shipping. |
New Customer | newcustomer | This deal is only available to new customers. |
Gift With Purchase | gift | This deal involves a free gift tied to a purchase. |
Dollar | dollar | This deal involves saving a specific dollar amount on a product, a category of products, or a storewide discount. |
Percent | percent | This deal involves saving a specific percentage on a product, a category of products, or a storewide discount. |
Deal of the Day | dod | A product that is marked down to a special price for one day only. |
APO/FPO Free Shipping | apofreeshipping | Free shipping deals that apply to APO/FPO (overseas military) shipping. |
Totally Free Shipping | totallyfreeshipping | Free shipping with no minimum purchase requirement. |
Mobile | mobile | An offer optimized for mobile traffic that typically lands on the merchant's mobile site. |
In-Store | printable | Signifies an in-store coupon. Currently used mainly for grocery coupons. |
FMTC Exclusive | fmtc-exclusive | These deals are offered exclusively to FMTC subscribers directly by merchants. No other websites are authorized to use these deals except for FMTC subscribers. |
Local | local | Local deals that are only valid in specific cities. Local deals contain zip codes and/or latitude/longitude data for accurate geo-targeting. These offers require activation and additional integration. |
Friends & Family | friends-family | Any coupon or special offer a merchant describes as a "Friends & Family" discount. |
Revtrax | revtrax | Printable coupons for in-store use that are tracked by the affiliate network upon redemption. May require special terms. Check with the merchant's program manager before including these on your site. |
BOGO | bogo | Offers that require the shopper to buy at least one product in order to get another product at a discount. |
Category | category | These links land on a product category on the merchants site. |
Free Trial | free-trial | Free Trial offers or a coupon or deal that includes a free trial as part of the offer. |
